• Guaranda is a Magic Corner of Ecuador, it has biodiversity of flora, fauna, and very traditional culture. The tour involves significant altitudes, especially in the visit to Chimborazo (up to the refuges). Prior acclimatization is recommended if you are not used to these altitudes. Consult your doctor if you have any pre-existing conditions. Although the ascent of Chimborazo on the tour generally does not involve a strenuous hike to the summit (transportation is provided to certain points), moderate physical condition is required to fully enjoy the short hikes and activities in Salinas. Be prepared for a variety of weather conditions, including cold, wind and intense sun. Layered clothing, waterproof, comfortable walking shoes (preferably hiking or hiking shoes with good grip), hat, gloves and sunscreen are recommended.
