Description

Day 1: Arrival in Quito Arrive in Quito on your own, where you can explore the UNESCO World Heritage site of the Old Town or rest at your hotel. Join an orientation meeting at 6:30 PM to discuss the upcoming tour. Overnight: DANN CARLTON or similar Meals: N/A Day 2: Quito to San Cristobal Fly to San Cristobal (3-hour flight, with a stop in Guayaquil). After customs, meet your Naturalist Guide and head to your hotel. Enjoy a kayaking trip to Darwin Bay, including snorkeling to discover marine life. Overnight: GALAPAGOS SUNSET or similar Meals: B Day 3: Snorkeling at Kicker Rock Experience some of the best snorkeling at Kicker Rock. A speedboat will take you along the coast of San Cristobal, where you’ll see sharks, turtles, and sea lions while snorkeling. Enjoy a box lunch on the boat, followed by beach time. Overnight: GALAPAGOS SUNSET or similar Meals: B / L Day 4: Santa Cruz Island Take a Public Speed boat to Santa Cruz. Upon arrival our guide will take you on a tour to tortoise ranch in the highlands as also you will walk into a Lava tunel , finally back to town for checking in at the hotel. Don’t miss trying fresh seafood at local kiosks on your own. Overnight: LA ISLA or similar Meals: B Day 5: Isabela Island Travel to Isabela Island by Public Speed Boat. Visit Tintoreras islet, home to marine iguanas and penguins. Depending on tides, you may see white tip reef sharks. Enjoy snorkeling at La Calera, then go back to the hotel for some free time to relax on your own. Overnight: CORMORANT or similar Meals: B Day 6: Southwestern Isabela Head to the southwestern side of Isabela to explore lava formations and spot nesting birds at Los Tuneles. Enjoy a snack on board before snorkeling in diverse waters, where you might see sea turtles and marine life. Overnight: CORMORANT or similar Meals: B Day 7: Sierra Negra Volcano Hike Take a bus to Volcan Sierra Negra and hike to the caldera (2-4 hours). Observe endemic flora and fauna, and if the weather permits, enjoy stunning views of the volcano. Return to Villamil and then to Santa Cruz by Public Speed Boat. Overnight: LA ISLA or similar Meals: B Day 8: Bartolome Island Depart early for a yacht excursion to Bartolome Island. Hike, snorkel, and enjoy the unique volcanic landscapes and the famous Pinnacle Rock. Relax on the beach and soak in the views. Overnight: LA ISLA or similar Meals: B / L Day 9: Departure Enjoy a free morning before checking out at 10 AM (depending of your flight). Transfer to Baltra Airport for your flight back to Quito.
