Description

We pick you up at your hotel at 7AM. In comfortable air-conditioned vehicles, we will drive 30 minutes from the port of Isabela to the highlands. The tour starts from 'La Cadena”, a point authorized by the Galapagos National Park; it is 8 km from the point to the edge of the crater. Then we descend approximately 2 and a half or 3 km to reach the sulfur mines, which is located inside the crater of the volcano, throughout the course you can observe the flora of the terrain, such as guava, ferns. As fauna we will be able to observe lava lizards, mockingbirds. In addition to the variation of the climate. Witness intense volcanic activity up close and learn how a reddish liquid turns into yellow, steaming rock. Discover the history of the island before tourism became its main source of income and enjoy a delicious lunch in this extraordinary setting. The interesting thing about this site, being totally clear, is that it allows us to observe the crater of the Sierra Negra volcano and clearly see the crater of the Minas de Azufre volcano. This visit is recommended for people in good physical condition. Not recommended if you have problems walking long distances and rocky paths. Although it is not climbing, the soils in Galapagos are volcanic and involve some effort.
