Description
Begin with a pickup from your hotel in Quito. Head to the Parish of Pomasqui, home to CASA AGAVE, where you will learn how agave synthesizes light to create an elixir that the indigenous people called chawarmishky, considered a sacred drink, described even as “drinking life itself.” Today, this beverage is known as Miske, Ecuador’s first beverage with a denomination of origin. The experience at CASA AGAVE lasts approximately 1.5 hours and includes a visit to the botanical garden, the museum, the distillery, tasting of various products, a special tasting of our spirits, and a bar experience with cocktails. Next, arrive at the Middle of the World, an iconic site in Ecuador where the equatorial line divides the planet into northern and southern hemispheres. Here, visit the Intiñan Museum (entrance fee not included), an interactive tour where you will learn about the history of indigenous peoples, observe the effects of the sun in the solar cylinder, travel back in time through century-old huts, and discover Earth’s physical phenomena while enjoying a privileged natural environment. Finally, return to your hotel in Quito.Includes
