Description

Our tour begins with a visit to the Basilica del Voto Nacional, the tallest church in South America. We continue our bike tour to Alameda Park, where we can see the Quito Astronomical Observatory and learn more about the Merz Equatorial Telescope. The next stop will be the Circasiana Arch, or the Circasiana Gate, a very important place for Quito residents, surrounded by art. We continue our tour to the next stop, the Artisan Market, a place full of culture, traditions, and the identity of each indigenous culture in Ecuador. There are several corridors where tourists can shop, relax, and enjoy the people. The next stop will be the Santa Clara Market, next to the Central University of Ecuador. Here, you can sample the local cuisine and drink a milkshake made with an Ecuadorian recipe. We will continue to the Ecuadorian Handicrafts Museum, a place that preserves the traditions and skills of Ecuadorian artisans, with more than 1,356 museum pieces. Afterwards, tourists will prepare to go to the Guapulo Viewpoint, where couples from Quito promise each other eternal love, a place to see the mountains, clouds, and city life. Finally, we will head to La Carolina Park, one of the most important parks in Quito, where you can visit the Botanical Garden, the Vivarium, and the surrounding area. We end our tour with tourists who wish to return to the Historic Center of Quito by subway, and we say goodbye to those who wish to stay in La Carolina Park.
