Description

Start your day exploring the historic center, visiting the churches of the Basilica del Voto Nacional and de la Compañía de Jesús, also have the opportunity to visit the natural viewpoint located in the Virgen del Panecillo on a hill located high above the city. Our second stop will be in the city Mitad del Mundo north of Quito, here you will visit the monument where the northern and southern hemispheres are divided, you will have the opportunity to perform experiments on the equatorial line. Inside the monument, there is a small museum that displays elements of Ecuador's indigenous culture, such as clothing, ethnic groups and samples of their activities. An exciting place for birding, here bird lovers will find a place similar also to Mindo, the world famous reserve for its concentration of opportunities. The bright blue sky and dark green forested mountains provided an impressive backdrop to a garden filled with flowering plants, low shrubs and a few trees tall enough to offer interest and perching places for the birds, as well as bird feeders where birds flitted among the trees and near the feeder located just in front of a table.
