Walking through the heart of the city is a tour through the soul of historic Quito, where every street and building holds centuries of history, art, and spirituality. We'll start at the entrance of the Basilica del Voto Nacional, a gem of Latin American neo-Gothic architecture and the northern limit of the colonial center. Then, we'll head to the Monastery of the Augustinian Mothers of the Incarnation, a place full of peace and tradition where you'll get to know monastic life and try the handmade sweets made by the nuns. We'll keep going along Calle de las Siete Cruces, a symbol of Quito's history, checking out colonial churches and mansions that tell the story of the city's evolution. Our route will take us to Plaza Grande, the political and social heart of Quito, surrounded by monuments that have witnessed major national events. We'll wrap up in the traditional Calle La Ronda, with its bohemian vibe, craft workshops, and typical tunes that'll make you feel the living essence of Quito.
