Description
Embark on a day of adventuring on Isabela Island with this unique day tour from Puerto Villami. Don your hiking gear and visit the stunning landscape of the Sierra Negra volcano. Round-trip transportation and hotel pickup make your day convenient and carefree. Begin your tour with pickup from your hotel. Once you've met your guide and gotten your packed lunch, make your way to the Sierra Negra volcano. After a short drive through some barren lava flows, you'll arrive at the starting point for the hike. Next, set out on your hike. Trek uphill along gentle slopes through lush, fern-covered trees. Once you reach the rim of the volcano, admire the second largest crater in the world at a whopping six miles in diameter and plunging down 300 feet to the bottom of the caldera. Continue your hike along the rim of Sierra Negra. As you go, notice how the vegetation changes before arriving at Volcan Chico, a collection of small craters that erupted during the 1970s. Here, marvel at the fumaroles and the volcanic landscape that leads to panoramic views of Elizabeth Bay. Finally, return to your hotel in the afternoon to conclude your tour.Includes
