Description

Your experience begins with pick-up from your hotel in Quito, where our representative will be waiting to accompany you on a journey through the charming historic center of the capital, declared a UNESCO World Heritage Site. From there, we will begin a panoramic tour of the main attractions of the colonial quarter — a journey through Quito’s art, history, and culture. The first stop will be at the Basilica of the National Vow, where we will make a panoramic visit from the exterior, receiving a brief explanation about its history and impressive neo-Gothic architecture. We will then continue to Plaza Grande, the historic heart of Quito, surrounded by the Metropolitan Cathedral, the Government Palace, the Archbishop’s Palace, and the Municipal Palace — all iconic landmarks reflecting the country’s political and religious heritage. Next, we will head to the Church of the Society of Jesus (La Compañía de Jesús), where we will also make a panoramic visit from the exterior, with an explanation of its historical and artistic value, considered one of the most important Baroque jewels in the Americas. We will then visit the San Francisco Square and Church, one of the oldest and most representative architectural complexes in the city, where you will learn about its history and cultural significance. To conclude the tour, we will ascend to the Panecillo viewpoint, from where you can enjoy one of the most spectacular views of Quito, guarded by the emblematic Winged Virgin, a symbol of the city. At the end of the tour, our private transportation will take you directly to the Quito International Airport to board your departing flight. This experience lasts approximately 4 hours, from the time of pick-up at your hotel until arrival at the airport. It is important that your outbound flight is scheduled to depart from 3:00 p.m. onwards to ensure the tour can be carried out smoothly. Entrance fees to the mentioned sites are not included.
