The full name of this brilliant shopping centre is 'San Luis Shopping, The Heart of the Valley'. Why is this? Well, not only is the centre situated in the geographical heart of the Chillos Valley, but it is also the commercial heart of the area too.
San Luis Shopping is also the first ever commercial project in the whole of Latin America that combines business with history, heritage and the lifestyle of the community which surrounds it.
The shopping centre is housed in an old colonial farm building which still to this day has its original façade. Other features that give away the past of this magnificent building are the wide sturdy walls, enormous wooden doors and many intricate details indicative of the colonial period.
San Luis has 140 shops selling local products and produce (everything from children's toys to pharmaceuticals), seven restaurants, a cinema with 10 screens, nine banks, 30 food court outlets and no less than 3,000 parking bays.
