DescriptionGet back to nature on a 3-day tour through the Andes Mountains. Travel through the Avenue of the Volcanoes and brave the twists and turns of the Devil's Nose railway line. Day 1: Depart Guayaquil and marvel at the typical flora and large cocoa bean and banana plantations as you climb up into the Andes Mountains. Enter El Cajas National Park, famed for its glacial lakes and mountain vegetation. Hike to some of the lakes through primary forest and get stunning views from the continental divide of Tres Cruces. Continue to Cuenca for your overnight stay. Day 2: Enjoy breakfast at the hotel, and then take a city tour , where the historic center is a designated UNESCO World Heritage Site. Day 3: Travel to Alausí to board the train for a 2-hour scenic ride along the twists and turns of the Devil’s Nose railway line. Continue to Quito via the Avenue of the Volcanoes, and marvel at the peaks of the Cotopaxi, Rumiñahui, Los Ilinizas, Corazón and Pichincha mountains.
