Sachatamia Lodge is a splendid country house located in its own private ecological reserve. The surroundings of lush rainforest offer guests a peaceful and ambient stay and a welcome escape from the noise and pollution of the city.
The lodge and reserve are also near to the Mindo-Nambillo Protected Forest, one of the most-visited cloud forests in Ecuador, and an area renowned for its rich biodiversity. Bird-watchers and keen explorers will love staying at Sachatamia, with such a bird paradise situated nearby.
The lodge itself offers a homely yet elegant haven, with a rustic wooden structure and comfortable interior. A range of double, twin and triple rooms are available, in a spacious and softly lit setting. The lodge also provides several leisure spaces, including a cosy living room, a social area with pool table, and a secluded indoor swimming pool. The lodge features large windows throughout, letting in the filtered sunlight and giving guests fabulous vistas over the surrounding rainforest.
Sachatamia Lodge is a fantastic choice of accommodation if you are interested in the rainforest, bird species (400 of which have been recorded in the local area!), or would like a serene and peaceful break away.
Guests can enjoy jungle walks through forest and over sparkling streams, passing some spectacular examples of local plant and wild flower species. However, this accommodation is not suitable for families with young children, as the lodge does not allow guests under the age of 12.
