Itinerary

Day 1: Papallacta and Arrival in the Amazon

Depart Quito in the morning heading southeast to the Amazon region. Stop at Papallacta Lagoon to relax in its warm natural hot springs. Continue to the Amazon lodge and enjoy a lunch made with fresh local ingredients. Spend free time relaxing or appreciating the environment. In the evening, have dinner featuring regional dishes, followed by a brief night walk to experience Amazon wildlife. Overnight at the lodge.

Day 2: Amazon Jungle Exploration

After breakfast, travel to Puerto Ahuano and board a boat to the Amazoonico Animal Rescue Center to observe animals such as anacondas, parrots, caimans, tapirs, and monkeys. Visit Caiman Island and Lagoon for a Kichwa community presentation on traditional clothing and yuca chicha preparation. Learn to use the blowgun and feed caimans safely under guide supervision. Proceed to the Arajuno River for a short boat ride to a local community and enjoy a typical lunch. Return to the lodge for dinner and overnight stay.

Day 3: Relaxation and Return to Quito
