Biking Spirit is based in the city of Riobamba, very near the Chimborazo volcano, the highest mountain in Ecuador at 6.310 meters above sea level (20.702 feet). Which is why their specialty are biking tours on and around this magnificent colossus, whose summit happens to be the farthest point of the planet from the center of the earth.
They offer 5 different exclusive routes down the Chimborazo in one-day tours, which include hikes and visits to Inca ruins and Indian communities, and where visitors can enjoy sights of typical Andean fauna like vicuñas, alpacas, and birds. Some go through hidden tracks only known to them. Each route is designed for a different level of experience, from beginners to advanced bikers. Besides these volcano routes, they also have other options of one-day tours through interesting tourist attractions of the Andean region.
They have as well a few several-day tours that go through the Andean region of the country to the Amazon and can include train rides, hikes, horseback riding and more.
