Description

We'll start our sightseeing tour in Quito around 8 a.m. Otavalo is about a two-hour drive away. Before arriving at Plaza de los Ponchos, we'll make two stops along the way. Our first stop will be in Cachiviro, a small indigenous community on the shores of Lago San Pablo. Here, we'll enjoy the landscape and nature of the place, as well as an incredible view of the Imbabura volcano. Our next stop will be in Peguche, where we'll take a short 15-minute walk to visit its famous and magical waterfall. Finally, we'll visit a local indigenous home where we can experience the daily life of the people, learn more about their culture, and see how they work on the wooden looms, where textile products are made in the traditional way, just as they were seventy years ago. Our last stop will be Plaza de los Ponchos, where you can stay as long as you like to explore and buy whatever you want. Before returning to Quito, we'll enjoy a traditional lunch in Otavalo and end our day with a nice coffee. We'll arrive in Quito in the afternoon around 4-5 pm.
