San Cristobal: Punta Pitt Sightseeing Tour with Snorkeling and Galapagos Birds

Description

Punta Pitt: Nature, snorkeling, and wildlife Punta Pitt is one of the most special places in San Cristóbal to enjoy nature and observe a great diversity of species. During the experience, you will combine two snorkeling sessions with a guided walk on Cerro Pitt, where you will have the opportunity to observe blue-footed, red-footed, and Nazca boobies, as well as frigate birds, pelicans, and other birds. 7:00 AM – Arrival at the agency You will be welcomed at our agency to receive the snorkeling gear needed for the activity, which includes a short wetsuit, fins, mask, and snorkel. 7:20 a.m. – Transfer to the pier and departure We'll head to Acuario I Pier, where you'll meet our certified naturalist guide. After receiving the necessary instructions, we'll board the boat to begin sailing towards Punta Pitt. First snorkel session – Bajo Pitt Upon arrival in the Bajo Pitt area, we'll do our first snorkeling session for approximately 45 minutes. You'll be able to explore the marine environment and observe species such as sea turtles, sea lions, rays, tropical fish, and different species of sharks. Second snorkel session – Pitt Islet We'll continue to Pitt Islet to enjoy a second snorkeling session of approximately 45 minutes. This area offers the chance to see a wide variety of marine life, including turtles, sea lions, stingrays, sharks, and fish. 12:30 PM – Lunch in Punta Pitt After the snorkeling activities, we'll enjoy lunch on board while taking in the landscape of Punta Pitt and its surroundings. Guided hike on Cerro Pitt In the afternoon, we'll go on a guided hike of approximately 2 hours on Cerro Pitt. During the tour, you can enjoy the scenery and spot different species of birds, including red-footed boobies, blue-footed boobies, and Nazca boobies, as well as frigates, pelicans, and finches. 4:00 PM – Drop-off in San Cristobal After the hike, we'll head back to Puerto Baquerizo Moreno, where our Punta Pitt experience will come to an end.
