Description

The tour starts at 07:00 with hotel pickup in Quito. Travel south along the Avenue of the Volcanoes to Cotopaxi National Park.

First, visit the Mariscal Sucre Interpretation Center to understand Cotopaxi’s geological history, flora, fauna, and cultural significance.

Then, take a walk around Limpiopungo Lagoon at 3,800 meters above sea level, an ideal place to spot Andean birds while enjoying views of Cotopaxi and the páramo landscape.

Continue towards the Quilotoa region, with a stop at the House of Don Julián to learn about traditional Andean life, customs, and animal husbandry.

Next, visit the Toachi River Canyon, a volcanic formation about 40 meters deep, shaped by volcanic activity over thousands of years.
