Day 1: Visit Ingapirca Ruins, Ecuador’s largest archaeological site, exploring Cañari and Inca history and the Temple of the Sun. Then travel to Alausí to meet the Nizag indigenous community and hike with views of Devil’s Nose Mountain. Overnight in Riobamba.
Day 2 - Option 1: Hike near Chimborazo Volcano, the closest point on Earth to the sun, reaching the second refuge at 4,875 meters. Observe vicuñas and alpacas. Overnight in Baños.
