Description
Begin your adventure with a pickup from Quito or Latacunga and head south along the Pan-American Highway. Enter the Valley of the Nine Volcanoes, where, on a clear day, you can admire the area's majestic volcanoes and sacred peaks: Pasochoa, Rumiñahui, Sincholagua, Cotopaxi, the Ilinizas, Corazón, La Viudita, Ninahuilca, and Atacazo. Upon arriving at Cotopaxi National Park, approach the northern face of the volcano. Cross a volcanic valley at 3,800 meters above sea level before ascending to the Cotopaxi Volcano’s slopes, where you reach the refuge parking lot (4,500 masl). Where there are some route's options that you previosly booked Optional hike to the José Rivas Refuge at 4,864 masl (approximately 2 hours up and back not recommended for Route 4 and 5). After the hike, begin an exhilarating bike descent to Limpiopungo Lagoon in the volcanic valley or the route you chose Enjoy the convenience of 4x4 transportation, a certified guide, and entrance to Cotopaxi National Park. Ride a real MTB bike equipped with hydraulic disc brakes and Rock Shox suspension, with helmets provided for your safety.
