Description

Quito is best explored when you walk, taste, and share. This experience combines the heritage of the historic center with some of the flavors and traditions that are part of everyday life in the city. The tour begins at the Basilica del Voto Nacional and continues to the Plaza del Teatro, before reaching the Central Market, a space full of colors, aromas, and products that are part of Quito's gastronomy. There, you can taste local seasonal fruits and get to know the locals in an authentic way. The experience continues with a food tasting of the famous canelazo, a traditional drink from the Ecuadorian Andes, followed by a hands-on experience preparing traditional empanadas. Afterwards, the tour takes us through some of Quito's most iconic squares, from Plaza Grande to San Francisco, passing by historical sites and churches that help us understand the identity of this World Heritage City. To finish, Ecuadorian cocoa takes center stage with an exhibition and tasting of premium chocolate, a sensory experience that connects territory, tradition, and flavor.
