Begin your adventure with a pickup in Quito and travel south along the Pan-American Highway, also known as the Avenue of the Volcanoes. Enjoy beautiful Andean landscapes along the way. After approximately three and a half hours, arrive in Baños de Agua Santa, a picturesque town surrounded by mountains, waterfalls, rivers, and lush vegetation. Your first experience will be the famous Route of the Waterfalls, one of the most scenic routes in Baños. As you travel through this spectacular landscape, admire several waterfalls and enjoy the contrast between the mountains and the surrounding vegetation. Next, visit Pailón del Diablo, one of Ecuador's most impressive and well-known waterfalls. Follow the trails through the forest, discover different viewpoints, and get close to the powerful waterfall. Take photographs and experience one of the most iconic natural attractions in Baños. After visiting Pailón del Diablo, continue to the Runtún area, located approximately 2,660 meters (8,727 feet) above sea level. Here, find Casa del Árbol, one of the most recognizable attractions in Baños. From this location, enjoy panoramic views of the surrounding mountains and, when weather conditions are favorable, admire the impressive Tungurahua Volcano. Enjoy free time at Casa del Árbol to take photographs and experience the famous swing. Additional adventure activities may also be available locally for those who wish to add an extra dose of excitement to their day. Return to the town of Baños, where you will have free time to have lunch at your own expense. Take this opportunity to explore the town, walk through its streets, visit local shops, or try some of the traditional food of the region. Before leaving Baños, make a short stop to discover and taste some of the traditional sweets that the city is famous for. This local specialty is an enjoyable way to finish your visit before beginning the journey back to Quito. In the afternoon, leave Baños and travel back to Quito along the Avenue of the Volcanoes.
