Description
Begin your adventure at 800 meters above sea level with a horseback ride through humid vegetation and agricultural areas, ascending to the summit of the world's third-largest active caldera. Ride alongside the caldera for 5 kilometers, enjoying panoramic views guided by a Galapagos naturalist specializing in volcanology who explains the geological features and history of the volcano.
At a scenic viewpoint, learn about the volcano before embarking on a 2-hour hike through active lava fields. Observe distinctive rock formations and views of Isabela's northern coastline, shaped like a sea horse.
After a picnic lunch, return to the starting point on horseback, completing a 5-kilometer ride through the diverse flora and rich volcanic landscape. The tour runs from 7:30 am to 1:30 pm.
