Start your adventure in Puerto Ayora, where you'll meet your nature guide and receive a short safety briefing before being equipped with your kayak, paddle, and life jacket. From here, get ready to discover Academia Bay from a completely different perspective.
Paddle across the waters of the bay while enjoying the coastal scenery of Santa Cruz and observing the characteristic wildlife of the Galápagos. During the tour, you'll have the opportunity to look for species such as blue-footed boobies, frigatebirds, lava herons, and other seabirds that inhabit this area.
Continue exploring quiet areas near the mangroves, where you can appreciate the contrast between the crystal-clear waters, the volcanic formations, and the coastal vegetation. With a bit of luck, you'll also be able to observe sea turtles and other animals in their natural environment.
The adventure continues with a snorkeling stop. Put on your mask and dive into the waters of the Galapagos to discover the world hidden beneath the surface and enjoy a refreshing encounter with the marine life.
During the experience, you'll also get to know some of the most interesting spots in Academia Bay, such as the Canal del Amor and the sunken ship area, while your tour guide shares information about the natural environment and local stories of the bay.
After approximately four hours of kayaking, nature, and snorkeling, you'll head back to Puerto Ayora with a new perspective of the Santa Cruz coast and an unforgettable experience in the Galapagos.
