Your hotel pickup is scheduled at 7:00 AM. From the port of Isabela, travel 30 minutes by air-conditioned vehicle to the highlands, starting at 'La Cadena,” an official Galapagos National Park access point.

The hike covers approximately 8 km to the crater edge, then descends 2.5 to 3 km into the sulfur mines located inside the volcano crater. Along the route, observe local flora such as guava and ferns, and wildlife including lava lizards and mockingbirds. The climate varies throughout the trek.

Witness active volcanic activity and learn how molten rock cools into sulfur deposits. The tour includes views of the Sierra Negra volcano crater and the sulfur mines crater. After capturing photos and videos, return to the starting point for a snack and soft drinks.
