Description
Mindo is located northwest of Quito and is known for its biodiversity and lush cloud forest environment. Positioned between the Andes and the Ecuadorian coast, it offers a warm, humid climate. The tour starts with a visit to the hummingbird refuge and orchid house. Next, you will climb to the treetops for a canopy zipline experience, where you may see various bird species flying nearby.
After the ziplining, you will cross the river on a cable car (tarabita) and walk to a river spot where swimming is possible. The final stop is an artisan chocolate factory in the village where you will learn about chocolate production methods.
