Description
The tour begins at 7 PM in Chaquimallana, where you will receive rubber boots fitted to your shoe size, a head torch, and a rain poncho depending on the season. A brief introduction will prepare you for the night’s wildlife.
We then proceed along the trail to observe the Amblypygium spider, Esperanza crickets, Cutin rainforest frogs, stick insects, anoles, tarantulas, and glass frogs. At each stop, your guide will provide explanations including both scientific and common names of the species found in the Mindo area.
A demonstration of how to identify the Andean Choco forest and the formation of organic matter as food for local fauna is included.
