This full-day tour departs from Quito to explore the northern Sierra highlands, ideal for travelers interested in culture, nature, and local crafts.
The journey begins with a visit to San Pablo Lake, followed by Otavalo’s Plazas de Ponchos market, renowned for its vibrant artisan stalls rooted in Quitu-Cara and pre-Inca traditions. Although Saturday is the main market day, the market operates throughout the week with a rich variety of handicrafts.
Your guide will offer a choice between visiting Peguche Waterfalls, a sacred site for the Otavalo community, or Laguna Cuicocha, a volcanic crater lake with small islands.
