Description
Your tour begins with a hotel pickup at 8:00 AM. After a 1 hour 20 minute drive, arrive at the Pahuma Cloud Forest Reserve, located at 6,500 feet altitude. Follow trails leading to waterfalls and clear water sourced from the Andes while learning about key plants in this biodiverse region.
Next, visit the Cotingas Reserve, part of the Chocó region, known for its colorful hummingbirds. Spot species such as the Velvet Purple Coronet, Violet-tailed Sylph, Empress Brilliant, Racket Tails, and Coronets in their natural habitat, attracted by abundant flowers and nectar that allow close observation.
In the afternoon, choose to visit either a butterfly garden or a chocolate factory, where you will enjoy a chocolate tasting session. The tour concludes with a return to Quito by 5:00 PM.
