Begin at the Basilica del Voto Nacional, a landmark of Latin American neo-Gothic architecture on the northern edge of the colonial district. Choose to enter the basilica or climb its towers for panoramic views and detailed architectural insights.
Continue along Calle de las Siete Cruces, admiring colonial churches and mansions reflecting Quito's social and spiritual history. Visit the Archbishop's Palace, now a shopping center, where you can sample traditional Quito sweets and desserts.
