Discover Ecuador through its flavors on a gastronomic experience that combines traditional markets, local food, Ecuadorian coffee, ceviche, chocolate, and craft beer as you explore different parts of Quito. Our adventure begins at the Santa Clara Market, a place full of colors, aromas, and traditions. We'll tour its different areas to learn about local products, plants, flowers, and handicrafts, and we'll talk about some of the traditional Ecuadorian practices, such as the well-known 'limpias' performed with plants and herbs. But we've come to savor Ecuador, so here we'll have our first food tasting: mote with chicharrón accompanied by a refreshing natural juice. Afterwards, we'll experience Quito like a local. We'll take the Quito Metro to San Blas and continue our tour on foot. Along the way, we'll briefly get to know La Alameda and some of the places and interesting features that are part of this traditional sector of the city. Our next experience will be dedicated to one of Ecuador's great products: coffee. We'll visit a specialized coffee shop, where we'll take part in a coffee tasting experience to discover more about its aromas, flavors, and characteristics. We'll continue to the heart of Quito's Historic Center. Near Plaza Grande, we'll make a sweet stop to try the traditional paila ice cream, made using a technique that is part of Ecuador's gastronomic culture. Then it will be time to take our taste buds on a journey to the Costa del Ecuador. We'll taste a fish ceviche and learn a bit more about this iconic dish and the different ways to prepare it. An opportunity to discover how flavors and culinary traditions change between the country's regions. Our route will continue with another of Ecuador's great stars: cocoa. We'll enjoy a chocolate food tasting experience, accompanied by a cup of hot chocolate and a brownie, while discovering flavors and aromas related to this extraordinary Ecuadorian product. To end our adventure, we will toast with a craft beer tasting, wrapping up an experience that will have taken us from a traditional market to some of the most representative flavors of Ecuador. More than a food tour, this experience is an invitation to discover Ecuador through its ingredients, its traditions, and the people who keep its cuisine alive.
