Description
Your experience starts with hotel pick-up in Quito by a local representative who will guide you through the city’s colonial quarter, a UNESCO World Heritage Site. The tour begins with a panoramic exterior visit of the Basilica of the National Vow, where you’ll learn about its history and neo-Gothic style.
Next, visit Plaza Grande, the historic center surrounded by the Metropolitan Cathedral, Government Palace, Archbishop’s Palace, and Municipal Palace, each representing Ecuador’s political and religious heritage. Then continue to the Church of the Society of Jesus (La Compañía de Jesús) for an exterior view and explanation of its renowned Baroque architecture.
The tour proceeds to San Francisco Square and Church, one of Quito’s oldest architectural complexes with significant cultural importance. The final stop is at Panecillo viewpoint, offering panoramic city views beneath the Winged Virgin statue, Quito’s city symbol.
The tour ends with private transportation directly to Quito International Airport. The entire experience lasts about 4 hours from hotel pick-up to airport drop-off. Please note that entrance fees to the sites are not included.
