Your certified English-speaking guide will pick you up at 8:30 a.m. from your hotel. You will visit the Pululahua volcano viewpoint, located within one of the world's two inhabited volcanic calderas. This area features a main crater, a central volcano with multiple craters, and volcanic domes both inside and outside the caldera.
Next, the tour continues to the Intiñan Museum, positioned precisely at 0°0'0' latitude—the equator line established by the 18th-century French Geodesic Mission. Here, a specialist guide will explain exhibits on Ecuador’s ethnic groups and their lifestyles. You can take a photo standing on both hemispheres simultaneously. You will also see the Equatorial Monument during the return journey to Quito.
In the afternoon, explore Quito’s UNESCO-listed historic district. Walk through Independence Square, a site of key revolutionary battles.
