This guided tour begins with a cable car ride to the mountain trailhead. The hike to the summit takes about four hours, depending on physical condition.
Along the route, you'll see expansive views of Quito and the surrounding Andes mountain range. Before reaching the rocky summit portion, approved helmets—provided and included—are worn to ensure safety. The trail is manageable but safety precautions are observed throughout.
Wear hiking shoes and bring sunglasses, a hat, warm gloves, a waterproof jacket, and a warm hat to prepare for changing weather conditions.
