Description

The tour begins at 8:00 AM in Riobamba with pickup from your hotel or chosen location. You will travel approximately 1 hour and 30 minutes to Chimborazo Volcano.

Along the way, there will be a stop at a canyon viewpoint to acclimate and enjoy the scenery. The vehicle will reach an altitude of 4800 meters (14,400 ft) near Chimborazo, where a hike of up to one hour leads to the second refuge at about 5000 to 5100 meters (15,300 ft).

If preferred, you can remain at the first refuge to take photos and learn about the volcano's history. After descending, you will have a traditional lunch at a local family-run restaurant.

The tour concludes with a return to your Riobamba hotel or bus terminal. An optional drop-off in Baños is available for an additional cost.
