Hacienda Manteles has no match in location. Sitting on a 200-hectare property of primary cloud forest, on the outskirts of Llanganates National Park and very close to the Tungurahua volcano, it provides a unique setting to explore and admire Ecuador's Central Andean region.
Various activities can be done on-site, like mountain biking, horseback riding, trekking and hiking through natural trails, and zip lining. One of the highlights is the abundance of wild orchids native to the area.
Hacienda Manteles offers several packages that include some of these activities and/or visits to other nearby sites as well. Packages can also be custom-made according to guests' special requests.
For those adventurous and/or nature loving people, one great option to do from Hacienda Manteles, which can also be arranged by them, is an expedition to the Llanganates National Park, home to the magnificent Llanganates mountain range and one of the best preserved natural areas due to its difficult access, as well as the supposed hiding place of Rumiñahui's gold.
