Operated by the owners, Hacienda Rumiloma has belonged to the same family for over 60 years. With a spectacular view of Quito, it is nestled on the skirts of the Pichincha mountain, some 15 minutes from the colonial area or the financial district of the city.
Guestrooms are all 600 sqft (55 sqmt) or more suites (they call them 'casitas'-little houses-) scattered throughout the hacienda, with a nice seating area and view of the city. Full of character in the rooms and the social areas (restaurant and various sitting-rooms), this place is a treat for those seeking a romantic place to stay up in the mountains but close enough to the city.
The restaurant offers home-style fusion cuisine and the bottom floor has been converted into an Irish-Ecuadorian pub with a walk-in fireplace.
