Hosteria de Vilcabamba

The valley of Vilcabamba is located 40 kilometers south of Loja, the capital of the same name province, and this hotel is located at the northern entrance of the town of Vilcabamba. Clean, basic but  nice, this hotel is a good option for those visiting the valley known for the longevity of its inhabitants. The hotel has a full service restaurant, swimming pool, Jacuzzi, spa area, a nice garden among other facilities. Activities in the valley can be organized by the hotel (for a charge) or on your own and include river trips, horseback riding, visits to the Podocarpus National Park and/or the Jocotoco Ecological Reserve, hikes to the Mandago and Guaranga hills and more. Note that the hotel eventually hosts wedding parties and other receptions.
