An historic hotel built in 1926 and beautifully located along side the majestic River Guayas in one of the oldest neighbourhoods in the city of Guayaquil. Inside the old charm has been preserved exceptionally to represent the early 20th century with rustic furniture and exuberant decoration. Paintings and antiques are a dominant feature throughout the hotel, contrasted with modern amenities for a comfortable stay that is best suited for a romantic retreat looking for a secluded and exclusive hotel. A selection of rooms has a panoramic view over the river, but the best view can be found at the outdoor terrace bar on the roof of the hotel.
The dining room takes the guest back in time with its unique style and friendly atmosphere; both authentic Ecuadorian and International cuisine is served and accompanied by their excellent wine list. Many events can be organised to be staged at the del Rio including weddings, anniversaries, corporate events, cocktail parties, and photo shoots, with a capacity to accommodate up to 100 guests in the Grand Hall.
