There aren't too many Lebanese restaurants in Ecuador, but if there were, they would all be looking to Baalbek for inspiration.
This is a fabulous place with incredibly delicious cuisine, serving up recipes that have been passed down from generation to generation, and which are now as close to perfect as they can get. The menu consists of fine traditional dishes, and it is recommended that you try as many as you can, even if you are not familiar with the ingredients - you will probably be pleasantly surprised!
Lebanese culture is famous the world over for its warm and welcoming nature, and happily this restaurant proves to be no exception to the rule.
Once inside the restaurant, benefiting from the exemplary service and delectable dishes, you may well feel as if you have stumbled into the Middle East instead. It is a learning experience as much as a gastronomic one, aided by the passionate hospitality of the Lebanese family who run it to help people learn about and understand their culture better.
The chefs, waiters and waitresses always work with the old Lebanese proverb in mind: 'Food is at the level of affection'. And it is clear to see.
