Stray Dog Brewpub

Nestled in a small town in central Sierra is the Stray Dog Brewpub. With craft beers brewed nearby within Baños, this idyllic little haven was opened in 2011 by a couple from Chicago.

The pub specialises in local beer, with micro-brews on tap; these are brewed at the nearby La Cascada Brewery, which uses fresh water from springs near the Agua de La Vida. Becoming renowned for the quality of its brews, the Stray Dog is the first and only brewpub in Baños.

The pub's slogan is 'come for the beer, stay for the food', and it's definitely worth checking out their menu. Seating up to 35 people, they serve dishes in a simple yet effective setting. The owners have managed to merge their love of dogs (ask about the story behind the pub's name) and passion for hospitality to create a relaxing and welcoming environment.

Enhancing the already charming mood, hearty foods such as pulled pork, spicy sausage and grilled Swiss cheese are served on delightfully overflowing platters. Live music and roaming artisans occasionally perform here too. Located right in the middle of town, on the main square, you can't miss this attractive establishment!
