This is an Italian restaurant that settles for nothing less than perfection. The staff strive constantly to ensure impeccable service, and the prices are very fair for the area in which it is based.
Head chef Carlo Colombara is recognised as being one of the Italian greats, which will come as no surprise once you have sampled some of his scrumptious creations on the menu. He will only use the finest and freshest ingredients.
Awards for this restaurant are certainly not in short supply. In 1998 it was voted 'Best Restaurant in Guayaquil' by Club of the Gourmets and in 2009 Carlo was recognised by the Association of Chefs in Ecuador, who were very impressed with his career abroad. Not only that, the restaurant has also been locally rated as the best place in the city to eat gnocchi (2008) and in 2010 the magazine Lan Ecuador rated the restaurant as a 'Must Try Gourmet'.
La Casa di Carlo offers the chance to enjoy a splendid Mediterranean meal in a truly beautiful setting of tropical plants and calm waters. It is strongly recommended to reserve a table in advance as, unsurprisingly, it is a very popular place to eat, especially in the evenings.
