River People Rafting is an Irish family-owned and run company. They have been living in Ecuador since the year 2000, and since 2003 became involved in rafting and jungle trips. All their guides have several years of experience and are bilingual.
They operate rafting and kayaking programs, including a 4-day kayaking school, on five rivers in the Amazonia, all class 3 and up, usually combined with hiking, swimming and other activities, and of course with the superb scenery of pristine jungle, waterfalls and all the magnificence of the Amazon Rainforest. Their menu also has on offer a fabulous safari trip that combines climbing Ecuadorian peaks, rafting, camping and more!
Their one-day rafting and kayaking trips, running from $55 to $80 depending on the river they run on, include lunch, transportation, guide and all the equipment. There also are other options of one to three-day trips and additional activities including wilderness hikes, horseback riding, bike riding and visits with indigenous people.
