La Esquina

Restaurante La Esquina is known for its good steaks, Argentinean style, but also for an ample menu offering Ecuadorian dishes and Argentinean 'al disco' cuisine, i.e. plow disc cooking, and good wines from the south of the continent to go along with the food. Open for late breakfasts, lunch and dinner, and Sunday lunch, it is suggested to call in advance for reservations. The restaurant is located at the heart of Cuenca, on Calle Larga, the most popular area for restaurants, bars and nightlife in the city. Recommended for anybody, but specially for steak lovers! Prices are moderate to high, and so are the portions.
