The visionary man who created Rincón la Ronda has a mission to preserve and remember the roots of Quito - its values, culture and costumes, which seem to dwindle more and more as the years advance.
The atmosphere of Rincón la Ronda is warm and friendly, with international tourists as warmly welcomed as the national tourist, or even the local. Authentic Ecuadorian cuisine is served here, but there are also international options available, reflecting the accommodating nature of this restaurant.
The restaurant opened more than thirty years ago and it is a testament to its success that it is still as popular as ever, with a simple yet delicious menu showcasing the very best of Ecuador's cuisine. There may not be a multitude of dishes, but they are all done superbly well, with fresh seafood often featuring as the star ingredient.
Rincón la Ronda is a great all round venue, for intimate dinners or a large celebration. It can seat up to 500 people, and has an outside catering service that can feed a staggering 5,000 people. The restaurant also features a cafeteria where guests can enjoy a relaxing drink or snack with musicians playing softly in the corner. On Sunday there is a family buffet which boasts a huge variety of local and international dishes to suit all tastes.
